Healthcare Services

SLRAA partners with various medical and service organizations including the Philippine Medical Association of America, the Association of Philippine Physicians of New York, and the Lions Club to provide free healthcare and medical services to underserved local communities in the New York City metropolitan region. SLRAA also assists in overseas medical missions by providing funds, donating medicines, and logistics.

Faith-based Outreach

Faith-based outreach is a way to connect with communities and reach out to people in need—guiding people to live out their faith by showing love and compassion. SLRAA engages in assisting remote communities build churches such as the one in the province of Mae Hong Son, Thailand.

Steps to Via Dolorosa

The Steps to Via Dolorosa is an SLRAA-sponsored project committed to helping the Penitent Sisters of Our Lady of Fatima restore and continue to maintain the bamboo steps, railings, and walkways of the Stations of the Cross pilgrimage site in Aklan, Philippines. The first phase of the undertaking replaced the worn and rotted bamboo with new bamboo and refurbishedthe ones that are still in decent shape. Where needed, concrete is used for added safety. The next phase involves rehabilitating each of the fourteen Stations and erecting altars to San Lorenzo Ruiz, San Pedro Calunsod and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
