SLRAA offers many opportunities for worship, fellowship and spiritual growth.
Special Masses, devotions, and religious services are held regularly at the San Lorenzo Ruiz & Scalabrini Center throughout the year, and on Holy Days and Holidays. Devotional prayer groups meet on a weekly basis and are usually led by San Lorenzo Ruiz devotees. If you are looking for a place to enrich your spirituality in a faithful community of peers, then please join us--our doors are always open.
SLRAA holds four major fiestas throughout the year honoring the Filipino saints (San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod), Queen of the Most Holy Rosary (Our Lady of Manaoag) and Our Lord Jesus Christ (the Black Nazarene). Continuing the practice's that originated in the Philippine's, these fiestas are an expressive way to celebrate our glorious heritage, culture and traditions. They are important because they bring the community together. A community which shares a certain belief. All are welcome to celebrate.
Integral members of SLRAA are those who choose to become Hermano/Hermana Mayores and Knights of San Lorenzo Ruiz. These dedicated individuals play leading roles in the daily and spiritual life of SLRAA. Consideration is open to anyone who embraces the vision of San Lorenzo Ruiz.
Humanitarian projects provide an opportunity to connect in deep ways with other people and the world around you. SLRAA offers opportunities that enable individuals to be immersed in a caring community, to explore the connections between faith and real world complexities, to make a difference in the lives of others through service work, and to grow in a sense of your own gifts and vocation.
Last--but certainly not least--you can show your support for SLRAA and it's mission by donating to our cause or voluntering your services. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and hopefully you will benefit from the experience.
